Christopher says that he wanted to be a part of the movie because "Terry Gilliam and I thought the character was so against type" (Sept 8 2004). Chris elaborates that "Terry and casting director Margary Simpkins had the balls to give me a shot at playing an effeminate role. I also read for another role. I had to wrestle the make-up people into the wig idea. On set, Terry allowed me leeway for some ad-libs (the name Sven being one of them). Great fun" (Sept 12 2000).
