Chris got his first PC in "uh…92?" because he needed to write (May 17 2000). He had a desktop in L.A. and a laptop in NYC (May 18 2000) when he was living on both coasts.

At one point, Christopher claimed that he did not visit this website, as he is both busy and computer/internet illiterate (Dec 8 1999). On a scale of one to 10 of computer-savviness, Chris rates himself a three (Apr 21 2000).

However, this website has become his favourite (Dec 29 2000). He now lurks here (Mar 3 2000), saying, "I troll around here occasionally and listen to the critics give their opinions and wait for words of wisdom from Brian (big sigh)" (Apr 20 2005). When asked if having an official website is a lot of pressure on him, Chris replied, "It's pressure on Brian, maybe. All I gotta do is be myself. Like it or don't like it, what can I do? My responsibility is to my work, because without that, there is nothing. That's pressure enough" (June 26 2000).

A fan asked what Chris thought of ownership rights of domain names, mentioning that Julia Roberts had gone through some difficulties in securing the rights to her name as a domain name. Chris replied, "Even in business, right is right and we all know what it is. I don't know of Julia's web crisis, but hey - her name is her fucking name. Let her have it" (June 30 2000).

Chris spends just enough time on-line to answer fan questions (May 17 2000) and says that it is much easier to banter with fan at the computer than it would be in person (Oct 28 2002). He says he has never "googled" himself and asks, "Would I like it?" (Apr 20 2005) When asked whether e-mail is "a blessing or the devil's tool," Chris replied, "Uh…an instrument blessed by the devil?" (May 17 2000)

Chris once said that he does not know what emoticons are (May 21 2001), but has since used them at least once while answering fan questions (Sept 7 2001).

When a fan asked what high-tech devices Chris had recently purchased, Chris said, "DVD players" (Jan 12 2001). However, another fan guessed that the "best, coolest, or most fun" high-tech device that Chris owns is a baseball bat, and promised drinks on the house if that happened to be correct. Chris responded, "Belly up to the bar, people!!" (Sept 28 2003)
