Theatre (also see Autobahn)

When watching a film or play, Chris analyzes "five percent" of what he sees and just enjoys the rest (Apr 26 2000).

If Chris were to work in the theatre, the chance to do a one-man show would interest him more than doing an ensemble piece, since he's already "done ensemble" (Apr 22 2000). Of Beckett's plays, Chris could see himself doing Waiting for Godot (July 3 2000).

Christopher attended the theatre piece The Director and says, "It was great. A college friend directed it" (June 26 2000). He also saw The Seagull in Central Park: "I was extremely jet-lagged, so in between nodding out, I thought some performances were great, others not so great and Meryl is a genius" (Sept 7 2001). He has seen the one-woman show The Syringa Tree, which he calls "great" (Oct 1 2000). The last play Chris has mentioned seeing is Avenue Q, which he calls "genius" (Sept 8 2004).

Chris says that he would do any genre of theatre except musicals (July 3 2000). He says, "You could not torture me enough to go see" Mamma Mia, the all-ABBA musical (Dec 6 2001). When asked whether he would see Dance of the Vampires, Christopher answered, "If that's a musical, you'd have to bite my neck, drive a stake through my heart, drag me dying and bleeding to the theatre, prop me up in the seat and deal with me rotting as the play played on. Have I made a point?" (Oct 9 2002)
