Christopher starting writing because "my phone wasn't ringing and I had to do something or I'd blow my brains out. If not acting, I'd still have to do something less lonely and solitary than writing" (Aug 30 2000). He takes notes at any time and writes "mostly with distractions - never TV" (May 22 2000). He also does not listen to music when he writes (Aug 27 2000). Chris says that he writes "mostly unpublished/unused works" and that the theme of "redemption" crops up the most often (June 14 2000). The sort of redemption that Chris writes about is "something akin to a spiritual levy for the privilege of experiencing all the beauty and horror of being humanly fallible" (June 19 2000). He's thought about writing a script for SVU (June 26 2000), but would not consider writing about his family (Apr 28 2001). He is only joking when he mentions that he is writing his memoirs (Nov 14 2001). Drowning in L.A. was his only professional writing credit as of December 27, 1999. To date, he has published articles in Jane Magazine and in Flaunt (Aug 20 2001). Since being published in Flaunt, Chris has received invitations to write for US Weekly and In Style Magazine (Oct 23 2001). Christopher finds writing "very" difficult. He says that he "took one course at Columbia for two weeks until the professor suggested that I change my tune. I told him to go fuck himself and got a refund" (May 5 2000). The hardest thing about writing is "just letting it go and throwing it down" (June 10 2000). However, he does say that he thinks he's a good writer (Nov 14 2000). Chris said at one time that he was too "lazy, not tired" to write (Aug 29 2000). Later on, he said, "My thought is I hate writing (love having written) and right now I am too busy to do anything but work, work out and try to have some life…so I don't write 'cause I'm a little crispy" (Jan 26 2001). Of his outstanding writing projects, Chris has more recently said, "I have many things almost finished gathering dust…one day, one day" (Feb 27 2004). Last updated: March 04/06 | ||
