Christopher Meloni isn't much of a dancer, but the young lady he's swinging in his arms doesn't seem to mind. Sophia Eva Pietra Meloni -- the eleven-month-old first child of the Law & Order: Special victims Unit star and his wife Sherman Williams -- even coos as her father croons "You've got to go poop in your pants" to the tune of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". "She bats her eyes and I melt," says the 40-year-old actor. "The surprising thing about fatherhood was finding my inner mush. Now I want to share it with the world."

It won't be the first time Meloni has let it all hang out. Vieweres of Oz, the HBO series in which he also stars, have seen his full monty, and visitors to his home are likely to encounter the Alexadria, Virginia, native in nothing but his shorts. "I'm a nudist at heart," he admits

The brawny Meloni, who regularly hits the gym, has been spending as much time in New York, where SVU is set, since September 11. His former acting-school roommate died in the World Trade Center attack. He gave the eulogy at the funeral without a body. "I was a wreck," Meloni says. But he wouldn't think of leaving. "I love this city. My attitude to terrorists is 'F--- you!' "
